Role Overview
As our Payments Operations Manager, you'll own the financial relationship between HIVED and our driver fleet. This is a senior, analytical role for someone who understands that accurate, fair pay isn't just an admin function — it's a critical part of how we earn and keep driver trust. You'll run a clean payroll operation while also digging into the data behind it: understanding how different route types translate into earnings, identifying where our pay models can be sharper, and working cross‑functionally to improve them over time.
What you’ll be doing
- Own end-to-end driver invoicing and payroll — accurate, on time, every week.
- Produce regular pay analysis reports that surface discrepancies between expected and actual earnings, and investigate the why behind them.
- Maintain our pay framework documentation — keeping the logic behind every route type clear, current, and accessible.
- Manage the cost recovery process (vehicle damage, fines, equipment) with transparency and fairness.
- Partner with drivers on payment plans where needed, keeping things manageable and professional.
- Work closely with Operations, Fleet, and Finance to ensure pay decisions reflect operational reality.
- Feed analysis and recommendations into commercial reviews of our driver pay structures.

- Experienced in payroll, invoicing, or contractor pay — ideally in logistics, transport, or a similarly hands‑on industry.
- Analytically strong: you can build a report, interrogate a dataset, and turn findings into a clear recommendation.
