We are a small charitable organisation that seeks to provoke participatory democracy via disruptive visual art. We’re looking for volunteer coordinators to lead our team. You’ll be a point of contact for our volunteers and provide updates about our team’s progress to our founder.
What difference will you make? Your work will directly help us fund and deliver bold civic art interventions and national democratic processes that aim to influence real policy change. Our staff and volunteers are who we are, and without our staff we wouldn’t be able to make any meaningful change. Your role will help our staff feel supported and stay on the same page, allowing them to focus on contributing to the progress of our projects.
What are we looking for?
- Someone who is compassionate, kind & respectful, yet also assertive, professional, and possesses strong communication skills
- Experience working with large teams; preferably a manager, leader or senior role with experience leading teams
- Competent in and has past experience resolving disputes between staff and across teams
- Accountable and responsible; takes a proactive approach to ensure deadlines are met and actively engages with different teams to understand progress so far
- Friendly; builds rapport with teams, supports them where necessary, and ensures seamless communication across teams

What will you be doing?
- Act as a point of contact for our volunteers, reaching out and liaising where necessary to ensure tasks are delegated to the right individuals
- Help coordinate efforts and projects across different sections of our volunteer team
- Identify deadlines, delays, delivery dates and progress across each section of our volunteer team, and provide regular reports on progress to our founder
- Ensure that our volunteers are aligned with our founder’s vision and represent his voice in the team
- Represent the needs of our volunteers and different volunteer sections to our founder, and represent our organization’s interests to the volunteer team
