We are a small but rapidly growing charitable organisation that seeks to engage the public in participatory democracy via disruptive visual art. We are looking for experienced or inexperienced bid writers to help further our mission. Your work will directly help us fund and deliver bold civic art interventions and national democratic processes that aim to influence real policy change.

By building relationships with values-aligned donors, you’ll help turn public will into action and sustain a growing movement for participatory democracy to become the norm in the future of UK political discourse and policy influence.

What are we looking for?

  • Our role is open to both veteran bid writers, experienced third sector workers who want to try bid writing, or newcomers to bid writing who want to learn more about bid writing, fundraising strategy and donor research.
  • Someone passionate about expanding civic arts participation, real policy change, and inclusive participatory democracy.
  • Someone who can work independently, demonstrates initiative and is transparent.
  • Someone respectful, trustworthy and cooperates closely with our core team to ensure timely delivery of outcomes.

What will you be doing?

  • Help identify prospective donors and trusts that are highly relevant to our charity, based on our values.
  • Help with the drafting, writing and submission of Expression of Interests and Bids to donors and trusts.
  • Help manage and respond to correspondence between donors and our organisation.
  • In general, you will provide assistance relevant to our fundraising efforts, and to help ensure the financial sustainability of our charity.
