MAK Jobs is recruiting a Transport Administrator / Operations Coordinator on behalf of our client. This role involves front‑desk responsibilities and direct interaction with drivers, making it well‑suited to individuals with strong organisational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining seamless operational flow. The successful candidate will undergo training during the initial two weeks on the morning shift (06:00 – 14:00), followed by a permanent transition to the night shift thereafter.

Location: Rugby, CV23

Salary: £14.21 per hour / Overtime £18.47 per hour

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday – 22:00 – 06:00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with drivers and manage front‑desk operations.
  • Book and dispatch drivers efficiently.
  • Perform accurate data entry.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure coordinated and effective logistics processes.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports.
  • Maintain organised and accurate files and records.
  • Provide support for daily operational activities within the transport department.
  • Foster and sustain positive relationships with customers.
  • Conduct thorough shift handovers to facilitate operational continuity.

Essential Requirements:

  • Undertake any additional administrative duties as required.
  • Previous experience in a comparable administrative role within transport, logistics, or a related field.
  • Sound knowledge of goods‑in and goods‑out procedures.
  • Strong numerical and organisational skills.
  • Excellent customer service capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
