Role: Attendance Officer

Salary/Grade: H7 (£32,061 to 34,434 pro‑rata)

Hours: Part Time (37 hrs/wk, Term Time Only)

Start date: 1st September 2026

We are looking to recruit an outstanding and committed professional to join our highly effective Attendance team that believes young people deserve the very best quality of education.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and professional Attendance Officer to support and promote excellent attendance across Hitchin Girls’ School. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils, families, student support services staff, and external agencies; you will play a key role in monitoring attendance, identifying concerns, and implementing strategies to improve pupil engagement and achievement.
