HW Finance are proud to be retained by a UK Based Private Equity Backed Group to help appoint a new Finance Director for a key strategic Business Unit. This role would oversee and have full responsibility for all financial requirements of the Division, along with divisional management responsibilities through supporting, challenging and business partnering with the divisional MD. Support will be provided from the group team in terms of financial reporting and treasury matters, in addition to a developing FP&A function. Acquisition integration, ERP migration, data development, implementing margin improvement plans, along with business partnering with divisional senior management are some of the essential tasks this role is accountable for.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the division.
- Business partnering with key sub divisional management (including MDs and Ops directors) across the group and exec team.
- Development of MI tools and dashboards which provide data insight which can drive forward the performance of the business.
- Encouraging and developing a data driven decision making process when apprising investment needs and driving operational efficiency improvements.
- Ensure integration of new companies is done in a controlled and appropriate manner.
- Supporting new acquisitions into the group’s financial reporting processes, ensuring the group’s financial control procedures are in place and supporting in onboarding these new companies onto the groups ERP systems.
- Ensure the monthly group reporting procedures and deadlines of new and existing entities are achieved to a high standard.
- Managing and driving improvements in working capital performance across the division.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
- Prior experience in a similar leadership role
- Experience operating within a multi-site environment advantageous
- BI tool experience advantageous but not essential
