A fantastic opportunity has arisen with one of our clients for an experienced Senior Internal Auditor based in Leeds. This is an ideal role for a motivated audit professional looking to join a dynamic organisation that values insight, integrity, and innovation.
As a Senior Internal Auditor, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the internal audit function, delivering assurance over key business processes, and helping to drive improvements across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead, and deliver end-to-end internal audits in line with the annual audit plan
- Assess the effectiveness of risk management, governance, and internal control frameworks
- Produce high-quality reports and present findings to senior stakeholders
- Provide recommendations to improve processes and mitigate risks
- Support audit planning and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior members of the team when required
Key Requirements:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, IIA or equivalent)
- Proven internal audit experience, ideally within a complex or regulated environment
- Strong understanding of governance, risk, and control principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
