Payroll Manager | 12 month FTC

Are you an experienced Payroll Manager ready to take ownership of a large, complex payroll function? We're looking for a confident leader to oversee the payroll operations of a multi-site business with over 1,000 salaried and agency employees, and to lead the delivery of a system implementation and payroll outsourcing project.

Key Responsibilities:

\\n\\n

\\n\\t
• Manage and lead the end-to-end payroll process for salaried and agency employees.

\\n\\t

• Drive a major payroll outsourcing transition and system implementation.

\\n\\t

• Lead a team in delivering timely, accurate payroll processing and compliance.

\\n\\t

• Calculate and reconcile payroll items including bonuses, tronc, tips, advances, and statutory payments.

\\n\\t

• Produce weekly and monthly payroll reporting and wage reconciliations.

\\n\\t

• Deliver payroll budgets and reforecasts, assessing financial impact of workforce and pay changes.

\\n\\t

• Manage relationships with benefit providers, HMRC, and external audit teams.

\\n\\t

• Act as the subject matter expert on payroll systems and labour scheduling, leading training and process improvement.

\\n\\t

• Partner with Finance and HR on compensation reviews, P11Ds, and data for consultations.

Key Skills & Experience:

\\n\\n

\\n\\t
• CIPP-qualified with proven experience as a Payroll Manager.

\\n\\t

• Experience delivering payroll system implementations and outsourcing projects.

\\n\\t

• Strong digital skills and a track record of improving processes using technology.

\\n\\t

• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.

\\n\\t

• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities.

\\n\\t

• Commercially focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
