HW Finance are pleased to be working with a Professional Services business, in their search for a new Financial Accountant to join the team in Leeds.
About the role:
This is a varied reporting role, suitable for someone recently qualified and looking to progress their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the month end close process, working closely with stakeholders across the wider team
- Prepare accurate and timely weekly, monthly and annual financial statements
- Own associated balance sheet reconciliations and support monthly balance sheet reporting and analysis
- Deliver insightful financial analysis and commentary to support senior management
- Maintain strong balance sheet control through monthly account reconciliation
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting systems
- Support the year end audit process and external auditors, to ensure a smooth reporting cycle
- Ensure compliance with financial obligations and internal control standards
- Work with stakeholders across Commercial and Operations teams to ensure accurate accounting
- Support Commercial Finance in understanding results and the drivers to budget/forecast
About You:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong management accounting/financial reporting or Audit background
- High attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft skills, particularly Excel
- Ability to interpret large amounts of financial data
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to build and manage relationships
- Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills
- Professional and positive approach
