HW Finance are delighted to be working in Retained Partnership with a Large Private Equity Backed Group to help appoint a new Group Head of FP&A.
The Group Head of FP&A will be responsible for driving financial planning, performance insight and strategic clarity across its global operations.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Group FD, you will play a pivotal role in elevating their financial planning and analysis capability. This is a career-defining opportunity for a senior finance professional who combines technical excellence with strategic insight.
You will lead a talented FP&A team, partner with senior leaders across multiple countries, and provide high-quality financial analysis to support decision-making, investment appraisal and long-term growth planning. A major focus will be supporting the rollout and optimisation of a new finance system, ensuring processes and reporting evolve to meet the needs of the Group and its private equity investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver insightful, timely management reporting, analysis and board-level commentary
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes
- Provide strategic analysis, scenario modelling and investment appraisal
- Partner with country finance teams to improve profitability, efficiency and cash generation
- Support the integration and analysis of newly acquired businesses
- Strengthen financial controls and oversee key month-end / year-end processes
- Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing FP&A team
- Champion system enhancements, process optimisation and digital finance transformation initiatives
Ideal Candidate
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- 5-10 years’ PQE and proven senior leadership experience in complex, multi-entity or international environments
- Strong FP&A background with deep experience in management reporting and performance analysis
- Confident communicator with the presence to influence at all levels, including private equity stakeholders
- Technically strong (IFRS), analytical, proactive and commercially minded
- Experienced with ERP systems and modern financial planning tools
- Values-driven, collaborative and calm under pressure — able to build trusted relationships across diverse teams and geographies
