HW Finance are pleased to be partnering with a leading construction and manufacturing business, backed by Private Equity and in their next phase of growth, to hire a newly created Finance Manager position.

About the role:

This is a hands-on and varied role, involved in month end process, system changes and process improvements, embedding best practice, and managing a small team. This role is ideal for someone seeking their first step up to a Finance Manager position, offering broad exposure in a fast-growing and successful business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management accounting and reporting function across a division of the business
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
  • Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors
  • Review financial statements, month end and year end accounts
  • Conduct variance analysis and investigate any discrepancies
  • Business partner operational and commercial leaders, to support business decisions
  • Work closely with department heads to develop budgets and forecasts
  • Present meaningful financial analysis and commentary
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Ad hoc support to Financial Controller and wider team

About You:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong management accounting or financial reporting background
  • People management/mentoring experience
  • Proactive and professional in approach
