This organisation has been a trusted provider of social and community services for over two decades, offering inclusive support to individuals and families across Northern NSW.
The People & Culture team plays an essential role in fostering a positive, values-driven workplace and enhancing employee wellbeing. As the People & Culture Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with leaders to deliver both strategic and day-to-day HR support, strengthening organisational capability and employee engagement.

About the RoleThe People & Culture Business Partner will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, aligning people strategies with business objectives. You will provide support and guidance across key HR functions including workforce planning, employee relations, Work Health & Safety, culture and engagement, and HR operations. The role also plays an important part in strengthening psychosocial wellbeing across the organisation, supporting leaders to identify and address emerging risks and embed positive workplace practices.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with managers to understand business needs and align P&C strategies to workforce priorities.
- Provide advice and support on employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
- Promote a proactive Work Health & Safety culture, supporting managers and employees with WHS responsibilities, risk assessment, and injury management processes.
- Lead and support initiatives that enhance workplace culture, employee engagement, and psychosocial wellbeing.
- Deliver end-to-end HR processes including onboarding, contracts, offboarding, and HR administration.
- Use HR metrics and data to inform decision-making and drive improvement across HR practices.
- Collaborate effectively across the organisation and model behaviours aligned to organisational values.
- Previous experience in HR, People & Culture, or similar advisory roles, with exposure to both strategic and operational HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, WHS principles, and contemporary HR best practice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High emotional intelligence and professionalism when managing sensitive or confidential matters.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or related field or 5+ years equivalent experience.
- Ability to analyse HR data and translate insights into meaningful actions (desirable).
- Experience supporting organisational change and / or workplace investigations (desirable).
- National Criminal History Check.
- Valid NSW Driver’s Licence.
