Role Overview
The IT Commercial & Administration Team Lead manages budgeting, forecasting, procurement and invoicing processes for the IT Group and is part of the IT Management Team. Through this role budgets are pro-actively monitored and regular forecasts are produced to ensure the departmental budget is achieved. This role is responsible for departmental, customer and financial reporting and maintaining customer intelligence. Most financial activities are supported by a Finance Business Partner to ensure the financial budget position is maintained throughout the year. This is not a sales or marketing role. This role pursues standardization, innovation, alignment and simplification of all Commercial, Finance & Administration processes within the IT Group.
In addition, any department wide activities, such as conference management, team days are managed by this role, as are management and departmental meetings. This role ensures the IT section of the intranet is up to date and maintains departmental documents. The Commercial Lead is supported by a full time IT Administrator. The Commercial & Administration Team Lead is part of a team of approximately 25 located in the UK. There is ample opportunity to interact with other Hitachi groups across EMEA, and our Head Office functions based in Tokyo. As part of a small team the Commercial Lead will have opportunity to work across the department to support other activities and areas of interest, such as project management or account management.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Budgeting and Forecasting.
- PC Rental and IT cost allocations.
- Liaison with the Finance department.
- Updating ServiceNow, Salesforce and SAP S/4HANA.
- Departmental and process documentation.
- Reporting and meeting minutes.
- Staff reviews.

Skills and Experience
- Business and Commercial experience.
- Good understanding of IT and the corporate IT function.
- Preferably degree educated and relevant such as business management.
- Excellent knowledge of O365, in particular Excel.
- Experienced ERP user, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience of ServiceNow and Salesforce advantageous.
- Commercial acumen and a good understanding of Financials.
- Meticulous with an understanding of detail.
- Enjoy working with people and working across a department.
- Drive for improvement.
