The opportunity
By 2050, the energy need will have increased by 50% compared to today, and HVDC is a prerequisite to meet this demand in a greener, smarter, and more sustainable way. Both the HVDC market and the target for our new HVDC quality solutions and products are growing.
To be able to perform all the upcoming and challenging projects we have in front of us, the need to strengthen our team. As such Hitachi Energy is seeking a Site Document Controller who understands the different types of documentation used at a construction site e.g., civil construction, installation, commissioning, and system descriptions. The site document controller will be working on site at a HVDC converter station.
Your Responsibilities
- Receiving/returning all documents to/from the site.
- Organizing the binders at site.
- Checking the accuracy of the binders when they are received at site.
- Mark and stamp the documentation for its use, if not done at home office.
- Print and update installation binders when revisions are received.
- Keep a record of signed transmittals (received by contractor).
- Hand out documentation to: Civil construction supervisor and civil contractors, Installation Supervisor/Specialists and installation contractors, Commissioning engineers.
- Stamp copies handed out and mark that they are checked out and shall be returned to Site Documentation Controller after use.
- Mark the Site Master documents that a copy has been checked out.
- Mark the documents as checked in at their return.
- Gather and file red-changes and send the site master back to the Plant Document Controller.
- Hand out necessary documents for implementing of revision/change orders and sign-off when implemented.
- Keep track of all documentation changes, revisions and change orders and sign-off when implemented.
- Update and maintain the contractual documentation deliveries in the Customer platform.
- Secure handling and storage of Site Master set.
Your Background
- High school diploma.
- Working with documentation handling in any industry.
- Experience working on construction sites of different size and complexity is a plus.
- Structured and organized.
- Able to deal with stress and challenging situations and good communication skills.
- Able to work with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and others).
- Proficiency with handling a computer and interacting with applications and programs.
- Fluency in English language is required.
