The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy’s Cybersecurity Governance & Risk team as a Cybersecurity Governance Specialist and play a key role in shaping and maintaining the global Cybersecurity Framework that guides the entire organization. In this role, you will help harmonize policies, controls, and risk processes; drive framework improvements; and ensure consistency across regions and business units. You will work closely with cybersecurity teams and stakeholders across the company to translate requirements into aligned frameworks and reporting structures. This is a high-impact opportunity to strengthen governance maturity, streamline processes, and support the delivery of Best-in-Class Cybersecurity across a global enterprise.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Support the development and maintenance of the Cybersecurity Framework, including policies, controls, and the risk model
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and business stakeholders to identify and align core cybersecurity requirements
  • Harmonize relevant framework components into a unified, consistent model across the organization
  • Monitor and report on framework artefacts to ensure they remain accurate and up-to-date
  • Use tools such as ServiceNow IRM and the Unified Compliance Framework to create a harmonized, streamlined governance environment
  • Drive continual improvement of the framework through active engagement with global stakeholders
  • Produce framework reports and dashboards using existing enterprise toolsets
  • Contribute to strong governance practices that enhance overall cybersecurity posture

Your Background

  • 6+ years of experience in IT/Information Security Governance in large, global organizations or consulting environments
  • Experience with governance or framework maintenance, including industry standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or COBIT
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow IRM and Unified Compliance Framework (UCF) preferred
  • Relevant security or risk certifications (CISSP, CGEIT, CISM, CRISC) are an advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work internationally, including occasional travel
