Description

Globallogic has partnered with a leading financial services company undergoing a major architectural evolution.

Their Head of Architecture is looking for Enterprise and Solution Architects to join their growing practice.

Successful candidates will be embedded directly within a dedicated, technology-focused Tribe.

Because they are scaling across multiple fronts, you may have the opportunity to select the Tribe that best aligns with your core expertise.

Whichever you choose, all Tribes report directly into the Head of Architecture, ensuring a unified vision and high visibility for your work.

  • Location & Work Pattern
  • Hybrid Working: You may be expected to work on a hybrid basis out of your local office hub, depending on location (Glasgow or London), up to 2 times per week.
  • Team

Travel: Because Glasgow is the main location and primary hub for the architecture team, candidates based outside of Glasgow (e. g., London) must be willing to travel there occasionally for key team alignments, workshops, and collaborative events.

Requirements

  • Proven Architecture Experience: Strong background as an Enterprise or Solution Architect
  • Tech‑Agnostic Mindset: A forward‑thinking approach that looks beyond a specific technology stack or cloud provider, prioritising the right tool for the requirement
  • Regulated Industry Background: Experience navigating highly regulated environments (Financial Services is preferred, but not required).
  • Communication Masters: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Agile Mindset: Practical experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Jira for tracking and delivery is beneficial.
  • Framework Familiarity: Familiar with TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture methodologies.
  • Mobility: Must be based in the UK and able to commute to either the Glasgow or London office, with a willingness to travel to Glasgow as the core team hub.
  • Job responsibilities
  • End‑to‑End Ownership: Design, document, and own complex solution architectures within your chosen Tribe from inception to delivery.
  • Cross‑Tribe & Stakeholder

Communication: Act as the ultimate bridge.

Translate complex technical concepts and navigate conversations across different Tribes and business stakeholders to get answers, drive alignment, and secure buy‑in.

  • Agile Delivery: Work seamlessly within an Agile framework, collaborating daily with product owners and engineering teams to unblock dependencies.
  • Architecture Governance: Ensure all solutions adhere to company standards and industry best practices; familiarity with TOGAF or similar methodologies is advantageous.

What we offer

  • Hybrid work model with flexibility across a wide spectrum of working options.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness plan, private healthcare (clinical and mental wellbeing), and discounted gym memberships.
  • Competitive pension scheme and recognition schemes through bonus/reward initiatives.
  • Annual volunteering day to support a cause close to your heart.
  • Social events such as zoo trips, quiz nights, sports events, theatre trips, and more.

We are an equal opportunities employer. It is our policy to promote an environment free from discrimination, harassment and victimisation.
