Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Project Manager. You will manage customer projects, from single-unit switchgear deliveries to multi-million-pound gas-insulated switchgear projects, and work closely with factories, customers, and our Service team when required to ensure satisfactory project delivery.
How you will make an impact:
- Commercial responsibility for the project's financial KPIs: cost, revenues, and cash flow.
- Order booking through SAP / S4 Hana (SD, CRM & PS Module).
- Directly responsible for maintaining and updating the documentation for respective projects.
- Performing contract analysis to review Scope, Deliverables, Risk, and Opportunities.
- Commercial takeover from Sales, Invoice placements as per payment terms from SAP (SD & CRM Module), and Creation of purchase orders, release of OA, sales order, and tracking milestone.
- Follow up on due invoices and resolve conflicts on payment dues.
- Responsible for receiving and processing supplier cost invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate closely with the financial controlling team to ensure proper cost allocation and compliance with internal procedures.
- Prepare and provide all required documentation and detailed explanations to both internal and external auditors, as requested.
- Mitigating risks and acting as an escalation point for project issues.
- Flexible approach, actively participating in driving the project plan forward and generating outcomes.
- Analysis of data, creating and sharing accurate project plans with regular updates.
Background:
- Engineering-related degree (electrical desirable but not essential).
- Experience and understanding of high-voltage switchgear.
- Hands-on experience in SAP/ S4 Hana will be an added advantage, and Salesforce Force will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience as an Order Handling professional.
- You have integrity and a technical interest as well as the enthusiasm, creative ideas, and solutions.
- You shall apply a long-term perspective to your tasks.
- Moreover, you appreciate working with your colleagues and understand the importance of investing in long-term customer relations.
- Flexible to travel to the UK to customer sites and abroad to our manufacturing facilities as required.
