We are expanding our FinOps consulting team and looking for a Solution Architect (Retail) to join us on this exciting journey and become part of the Hitachi Solutions family.
As a Solution Architect, your main responsibilities will include:
- Client Engagement & Business Understanding
- Working directly with clients to understand their business strategy, high‑level requirements, and processes.
- Demonstrating how the future state solution supports the client’s articulated business strategy within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem and related technologies.
- Using specialist knowledge of business processes and the Microsoft Dynamics product suite (including related applications, AI, and technologies) to expand the solution footprint in line with client needs.
- Providing solution propositions supported by clear and measurable business outcomes.
- Understanding and communicating the commercial impact of proposed solutions.
- Developing original approaches to improve or replace existing processes and procedures.
- Designing bespoke solutions tailored to client requirements.
- Documenting and taking accountability for all Solution Design deliverables.
- Reviewing high‑complexity functional specifications, including those involving significant module changes or complex integrations.
- Acting as the single point of design authority between functional and technical teams to enable successful solution development.
- Guiding Client Programme Directors and Project Managers, serving as the primary contact between these teams and functional workstreams.
- Sharing knowledge with project teams and cross‑functional consulting teams to ensure consistent understanding and delivery.
- Ensuring all assigned responsibilities are executed in alignment with Hitachi Solutions Europe Ltd’s Quality Management Policy.
Overall Accountability
- Owning the functional and technical workstream solution design.
- Being responsible for the overall solution integration design across the project.
Qualifications
As a Solution Architect (Retail), you will bring:
- Deep functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions and integrations.
- The ability to understand clients’ strategic goals, challenges, and desired business outcomes.
- Experience in developing customized solutions to address complex business problems.
- Demonstrable long‑term Solution Architect experience, including completed full lifecycle implementations within the retail/commerce industry, or within manufacturing and supply chain.
- Strong working knowledge of Solution Design and Integration Design.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- A logical, structured approach to problem‑solving and introducing change into operational systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of attention to detail.
