We are looking for ambitious, collaborative, and commercially aware individuals with an understanding of supporting digital, data, and technology transformation within Central Government or wider Public Sector. This role is ideal for someone who wants to develop into a trusted advisor and grow towards Account Director or Client Director responsibilities over time.
What does this role involve:
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders within Central Government organisations, supporting day‑to‑day engagement and coordination.
- Support clients and internal teams in digital transformation initiatives, including cloud migration, target operating models, digital by design, data‑driven services, AI and innovation.
- Help customers understand the benefits of transformation and support them through early stages of complex technology decision‑making, escalating to senior leads where appropriate.
- Support consultative conversations: gathering information, understanding client challenges, identifying needs, and helping frame potential solution areas.
- Assist in shaping new business opportunities by researching context, preparing materials, and working closely with senior Client Directors to qualify and progress demand.
- Support senior Client Directors in preparing for customer meetings, QBRs, workshops, and presentations by gathering inputs, creating drafts, and capturing actions.
- Support the customer journey across the account lifecycle by coordinating activities, tracking actions, and helping progress opportunities through to delivery handover.
- Contribute to account activity by helping maintain plans, preparing summaries, and supporting teams in aligning on goals, priorities, and roadmaps.
- Participate in customer engagements and stakeholder discussions, supporting senior colleagues and contributing to meetings without leading full engagements independently.
- Stay informed about evolving digital and technology trends and identify opportunities to improve the delivery of public services in the UK, sharing insights with the team where relevant.
- Demonstrate a strong desire to collaborate, learn, and continuously develop your understanding of public sector needs and digital transformation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, adapting your style to different audiences and contributing to compelling documentation, presentations, and discussions.
Qualifications: What do you need to succeed in this role:
- Experience working or supporting with Central Government, Public Sector or other highly regulated organisations, ideally within digital, data, or technology transformation programmes.
- Experience in a client‑facing, consulting, strategy, delivery, or business development support role, ideally within technology or public sector digital transformation.
- Experience supporting pre‑sales activities and working collaboratively with delivery and consulting teams to prepare materials, gather inputs, and coordinate next steps.
- Demonstrated ability to take a consultative approach to problem‑solving, asking good questions, understanding client needs, and supporting the development of solution options.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Good organisational and analytical skills, able to track actions, maintain CRM entries, and support the progression of opportunities.
- An ambitious attitude and a desire to learn and grow within a high‑pressured, but highly supportive environment.
Desirable (Nice to Have):
- Exposure to the Microsoft partner ecosystem, with an understanding of how Microsoft and partners collaborate to support public sector transformation.
- Existing relationships with Microsoft or the ability to build them quickly.
- Experience working for a Microsoft Partner focused on the public sector.
- Understanding of UK Government digital standards.
- Experience supporting public sector bids or frameworks.
- High‑level understanding of modern cloud and data technologies.
