As a Systems Data Controller at Hitachi Rail, you will be responsible for correct data input, reports, administration, and technical assistance to SAP PM / WH / SOROs. The OS&M Systems Data Controller ensures the effective deployment of our Business System so our new fleet of trains can operate correctly from go-live.
Develop standards and guides for data input into SAP, including nomenclature and format.
Define optimal ways to use SAP to meet Operations and Engineering requirements.
Liaise with stakeholders to define reports and outputs from SAP.
Act as an SAP advanced user to provide technical support during business operations.
Maintain configuration knowledge of SAP to ensure data integrity.
Support the business team with innovative ideas for large-scale data analysis.
Collaborate with the maintenance planning team to optimize maintenance regimes and develop best practices.
Work closely with Configuration Engineers to manage train configuration effectively.
Prepare asset tree updates within MMS, including creation of material records for serialized parts.
Update asset trees with changes to functional locations and create/validate material records.
Assist in checking and validating data quality within SAP.
Create campaigns as required by projects.
Update task lists related to material usage, collaborating with Supply Chain.
Cross-check maintenance data input by team members and ensure peer review by SAP engineers.
Manage load files for mass data changes via LSMW.
Assist the central master data team in data improvement efforts.
Create and utilize reports to support fleet delivery and project milestones.
Coordinate with Project Engineers and the Product Introduction Team for serial number updates in MMS.
Support master data and configuration engineers with shadow board and SBOM maintenance, including validation in Excel and SAP.
Cross-check SAP production system work and provide feedback.
Suggest best practices for SAP MM and data management to optimize Hitachi templates.
About you
Must have detailed SAP asset management knowledge.
Understanding of asset maintenance processes.
Experience developing and managing engineering support systems.
Experience in an engineering environment, preferably rail industry.
SAP WH knowledge, especially upstream processes impacting PM module.
