Description
- Provide timely, accurate advice on all employee relations matters and attend employee meetings as appropriate, including:
- Discipline
- Grievance
- Absence
- Performance
- Probation management
- Restructures
- Family friendly activities – maternity, paternity etc
- Pay and reward activities, including pay benchmarking and inputting into cyclical activities such as salary review and bonus
- Talent and succession planning
- Local employee engagement and retention activities, including employee forums and Union Joint Negotiation Committees, where these exist
- Organisation structure design
- Resource planning
- Recruitment approvals and queries
- Project work
Essential Requirements
- Maths and English GCSE at grade C or above, or equivalent
- CIPD Level 5 or above, or working towards it
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to organise own work whilst remaining calm under the pressure of tight deadlines and changing priorities
- Ability to interpret and analyse data
- Ability to work flexibly, as part of a team and independently with limited supervision
- High level of confidentiality and discretion
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to represent Hitachi in a professional manner at all times
- Ability to build effective relationships
Desirable
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering or other technical environment
- Experience of Workday HR system
