Hitachi Europe Ltd is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure and Cloud Operations Team Lead to join our team. This role involves managing a team of 6 resources and overseeing secure and efficient IT services in a hybrid environment, including on-premise data centers and Azure cloud services. This is a great opportunity to work with a talented infrastructure team and support our technical transition.
Responsibilities
- Team Management: Lead and support a team of 6, including offshore and onshore resources. Allocate responsibilities and guide team members.
- IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee Windows OS, Cisco networking, BT MPLS, and internet services.
- Data Centre and Communications: Manage data center operations and communication hubs.
- Cloud Operations: Support and improve Azure enterprise-scale landing zones, with some DevOps and coding involved.
- M365 Support: Support Hitachi’s Microsoft 365 environment.
- Service Operations: Ensure secure IT service operations following ITIL, support escalations, and manage support contracts.
- Change Management: Conduct weekly CAB meetings to manage changes.
- International Collaboration: Communicate effectively across Europe and with Japan.
- VMware and SAN Management: Manage VMware environments and SANs.
- Cloud Transition: Lead migration from on-premise to cloud-native solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Certifications in IT infrastructure, cloud, VMware, SAN, ITIL preferred.
- Strong background in Windows OS, Cisco, BT MPLS, VMware, SAN, Azure, and M365.
- Proven leadership in managing teams.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in international settings.
- Experience in cloud migration and transition to cloud-native technologies.
Work Environment
Hybrid work with 1 day in the office at Hitachi Europe Ltd, Botanic Ditton Park, Riding Court Road, Datchet, SL3 9LL, with travel to data centers in Hounslow and central London.
