The Opportunity:
To our growing Global Mobility department, we are searching for a Global Mobility Advisor, who will be the speaking partner for the HR business partners of the business units and functions. You will advise on all aspects of the Assignment process, policy and compliance matters. The Global Mobility Advisor consults and provides support for the high-level and most complex international assignments and acts as the focal point for other stakeholders within the Hitachi Group.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the area of Global Mobility, preferably in field assignments, in particular in communicating with all stakeholders involved in the assignment process. How you will make an impact:
- Understands business strategy and business drivers and is the speaking partner to the business leaders for project assignments.
- Acts as a consultant on all general enquiries around the project worker function, including the assignment process, advising on policy interpretation and exception management.
- Participate in regular project site staffing calls to ensure full oversight of site staffing requests.
- Acts as point of escalation for all stakeholders in the assignment process when required.
- Supports best practice sharing activities with the goal to improve the understanding of the project worker assignment process within the business and HR community.
- Provide any required reporting on project workers Assignments to the business.
- Network and relationship management with the key stakeholders and representation of project workers management meetings.
Your background:
- Education and experience: bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, which includes Business Administration, Tax or Law, as your basis and at least 5 years of relevant work experience including managing employee relationships.
- Area knowledge: strong knowledge of international assignment management, immigration, tax, and employment laws.
- Soft skills: team player with good organizational, planning and decision-making skills, possesses excellent communication skills and can interact with people of different cultures and nationalities.
- Work approach: ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple tasks at the same time, able to adapt to changing business needs, maintaining focus on delivering the results within tight deadlines, confident individual that can maintain relationships in the business at varying levels of seniority, enjoys work that is complex and detailed in nature and involves providing an analysis of information and trends back to the business, able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Language skills: Fluent in English, other European languages are a positive.
