Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of individual work packages within wider workstreams, delivering them to the quality standards and timelines set by the Technical Lead or Technical Architect.
- Implementing Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform components against designs produced by the Technical Architect or Technical Lead, with the capability to design smaller components within the broader architectural framework where required.
- Developing high‑quality pro‑code solutions, including custom plug‑ins, JavaScript form scripts, PCF controls, and Azure Functions, ensuring code is robust, maintainable, and adheres to established standards.
- Implementing AI and emerging technology features hands‑on, including components built on Microsoft Copilot Studio and autonomous agents, against designs and specifications set by the Lead or Architect.
- Executing Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, with sufficient working understanding to operate and troubleshoot pipelines, though not necessarily to design the underlying ALM strategy.
- Participating in peer code reviews and conducting initial review of work produced by junior colleagues, with formal sign‑off remaining with the Technical Lead or Architect.
- Providing situational support to junior developers and consultants such as pairing on tasks, unblocking issues, and answering technical questions within shared work packages.
- Providing technical input and task‑level estimates to the Lead or Architect when requested, with an awareness of how their work feeds the broader commercial picture.
- Maintaining rigorous attention to detail in their own deliverables to minimise technical debt and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Key Competencies (Essential)
- Solid hands‑on experience as a Senior Developer specialising in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform.
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks for customisation and PCF control development.
- Practical experience with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure Functions) and their integration with Dataverse.
- Working knowledge of ALM and DevOps, capable of executing pipeline‑based deployments in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Demonstrable ability to design smaller components within a broader architecture defined by a Technical Lead or Architect.
- Clear written and verbal communication, capable of explaining implementation decisions to peers and project stakeholders.
- Holds, or is actively working towards, PL‑400 (Power Platform Developer Associate).
Desirable Skills & Emerging Tech
- Hands‑on experience implementing generative AI features using Azure OpenAI Service and Microsoft Copilot Studio against an existing design.
- Proficiency in utilising AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance personal velocity and code quality.
- Exposure to data migration tasks involving transformations from legacy SQL or Oracle systems to Dataverse.
