If you're an established HSE Advisor who enjoys being visible on site, influencing positive change and partnering with operational teams - this could be your next move. Reporting into the HSE Manager, you'll be the go-to HSE presence for our Stoke Gifford depot, supporting the effective management and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental standards. This is a hands-on, people-facing role where you'll have real ownership, credibility on site and the opportunity to shape how HSE is embedded day to day - not just audited from afar.
Responsibilities
- Championing a proactive, positive HSE culture across the depot
- Supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of HSE systems and procedures
- Leading on risk assessments, investigations and corrective actions
- Delivering HSE training, briefings and toolbox talks
- Conducting regular site inspections, audits and safety tours
- Managing environmental compliance, waste, pollution control and sustainability initiatives
- Supporting internal audits and maintaining legal and compliance registers
- Acting as a trusted advisor to managers, engineers and external stakeholders
- Deputising for the HSE Manager when required
You're an experienced and confident HSE professional who enjoys being visible, approachable and influential on site.
Qualifications
- Experience in HSE within an engineering, manufacturing or similar complex environment
- NEBOSH Certificate and a relevant Environmental qualification (e.g. IEMA)
- Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and environmental permitting
- Experience as an internal auditor
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage at all levels
- A practical, solution-focused mindset with high personal standards
- A collaborative approach and genuine passion for keeping people safe
