This role is the operational backbone of Hitachi's global succession pipeline. You will own the end-to-end construction, maintenance, and visualization of the leadership succession pool across all Business Units, turning fragmented talent data into a single, always-current pipeline view that drives executive decision-making.
Working closely with BU HR leads, CHROs, and the GLD team, you will design the data architecture, dashboards, and governance cadence that make the succession pipeline transparent, measurable, and actionable - ensuring the right leaders are identified, developed, and ready for critical roles at the right time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Succession Pipeline Construction & Data Architecture: Design and maintain the global succession pipeline infrastructure: define data taxonomy, build candidate profiles with readiness scores, and integrate inputs from talent reviews and leadership program outcomes into a unified pipeline database.
- Pipeline Visualization & Executive Reporting: Develop and own real-time succession dashboards that visualize pipeline health by BU, region, role criticality, and diversity dimensions. Deliver data-driven insights to CHROs and the executive committee, translating pipeline metrics into strategic talent investment recommendations.
- Pipeline Governance & Calibration Cadence: Orchestrate the annual succession calibration cycle: ensure calibration is data-driven and objective, and track movement of succession candidates into target roles. Define and enforce pipeline governance standards - slate coverage targets, time-to-readiness benchmarks, and IDP completion rates - holding BU HR leads accountable for pipeline health and succession velocity.
We're looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision. The role will be a mixture of remote-hybrid work with days in the Hitachi Office.

- Building or managing talent/HR dashboards, pipeline databases, or people analytics platforms.
- Strong data analysis and visualization skills (Excel, BI tools, or HR analytics platforms).
- Business English proficiency.
- Experience with succession planning tools or HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday).
- Japanese language proficiency is a bonus, but not required.
Behaviours / Personal Traits:
- Data-driven mindset with the perseverance to build systems from the ground up.
- Ability to synthesize complex, cross-functional talent data into clear strategic narratives for senior leadership.
