We are growing our Lifetime Services (LTS) team and are looking for an experienced Finance & HR Consultant to support clients operating Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations in a live, business-critical environment.
This role is focused on post-go-live support, service delivery, and long-term client success, rather than greenfield implementation.
You will work across multiple customers simultaneously, managing a varied caseload of incidents, service requests, enhancements, and advisory work, while building trusted, long-term relationships with client stakeholders.
Ideally, you will have a strong consulting background with real experience of implementing D365 for a variety of clients and have a solid consulting mindset and skillset.
- Service Delivery & Case Management
- Own and manage a portfolio of support, service and advisory cases across multiple clients, balancing priorities, urgency, and business impact in a fast-moving support environment.
- Triage, analyse, and resolve Finance and HR-related issues within Dynamics 365 F&O, applying sound judgement to determine appropriate resolution paths.
- Intelligently prioritise workload, managing competing demands while meeting agreed SLAs and service expectations.
- Take accountability for cases end-to-end, from initial investigation through to resolution, communication, and closure.
- Client Engagement & Communication
- Act as a trusted functional advisor to clients, communicating clearly and confidently with finance and HR stakeholders at varying levels of technical understanding.
- Provide regular, structured updates to clients on case progress, risks, and next steps, maintaining confidence and transparency at all times.
- Translate complex functional or system behaviour into clear, business-focused explanations for non-technical audiences.
- Produce high quality design documentation and robust test plans for sometimes complex requirements.
- Build long-term client relationships by demonstrating ownership, reliability, and a strong customer-centric mindset.
- Advise on applicability and benefits of One Version enhancements for individual clients.
- Functional Expertise (Finance & HR)
- Apply strong functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance modules including:
- General ledger
- AR/AP
- Cash & Bank
- Fixed Assets
- Project Accounting
- Working knowledge of HR / Human Resources modules, to support live operational environments.
- Accounting background a bonus.
- Support and advise on areas such as Core Finance, Budgeting, Reporting, integrations (e. g. Payroll), and cross-module Finance-HR processes.
- Identify root causes of issues rather than symptoms, proposing pragmatic, support-appropriate solutions aligned to platform best practice.
- Recommend incremental improvements and optimisations that enhance system stability, usability, and client outcomes.
- Collaboration & Internal Working
- Work closely with technical teams, Service Delivery Managers, and other LTS consultants to resolve complex or cross-functional issues.
- Produce clear functional analysis, specifications, or impact assessments where required to support fixes or small change requests.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing within the LTS team by documenting repeat issues, known errors, and recommended approaches.
- Support continuous improvement of LTS processes, tooling, and ways of working.
Skills & Behaviours We're Looking For
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities across several clients without losing focus or quality.
- Strong organisational skills with a structured, methodical approach to case management.
- Calm, resilient, and professional under pressure in a live support environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively when needed.
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability for client outcomes.
- Strong background in ERP solutions, ideally with hands-on experience supporting Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations in a live environment.
- Demonstrable specialism in Finance modules, with working knowledge of HR modules highly desirable. (or open to learning HR?)
- Experience supporting clients in public sector is beneficial.
- A logical, analytical approach to problem solving and introducing change into operational systems.
- Experience of at least two full lifecycle implementations, with a clear understanding of post-go-live support considerations.
- Excellent documentation skills and the ability to produce clear, concise functional analysis.
