How You’ll Make An Impact- Lead the design, development, testing, integration, and deployment of HVDC Control & Protection software solutions, ensuring high-performance and reliable system operation.
- Deliver engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle, from requirements definition and design through to commissioning and project handover.
- Develop, maintain, and optimise control and protection application functions to support the successful delivery of HVDC projects.
- Produce and review technical specifications, design documentation, and engineering deliverables to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Conduct system verification, validation, and testing activities within simulation and virtual environments to ensure robust and reliable performance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks, implementing effective solutions to support project delivery and operational excellence.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality to deliver innovative and high-quality solutions.
- Support technical reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal processes.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in Control & Protection engineering, automation, power systems, HVDC, or a similar engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of control system design, digital technologies, signal processing, and power system applications.
- Experience working across the engineering project lifecycle, with knowledge of project delivery methodologies and engineering best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with flexibility to travel within the UK and internationally as required.
