We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Support Specialist with experience in SCADA/EMS/GMS/DMS/OMS Solutions including analytics and IT/OT integration. The right candidate will be responsible for strategy and design of the technical solutions in the sales opportunities.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Responsible for qualifying new opportunities by using analytic and diagnostic skills to match user requirements to Hitachi Energy Network Control Solutions.
- Perform presentations and demonstrations of the solutions.
- Responsible for the design of the technical solution offered to the customer.
- Participate in bid preparations.
- Take ownership for the development of demo scenarios for customer demos, workshops and proof of concepts.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer challenges and needs through customer visits and meetings with a diverse range of existing and potential customers.
- Being a professional and self-motivated driver to understand the client’s business needs, and do the mapping of their requirements with our solution portfolio in a competitive market environment.
- Work with virtual teams in multi-cultural environments.
- Ability to make the complex simple and show creativity in your approach to problem solving.
- Being an analytic team player with the ability to lead and follow as need requires.
Your background:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience with an electric utility working with IT/OT integration and/or with a system integrator working with integration and analytics in the utility domain.
- In-depth understanding of the use of advanced applications within the electric utilities.
- Broad IT/OT knowledge with experience in 3rd party system integration and IT security.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English, additional languages such as French is an advantage.
- Flexibility for travel required.
