We are seeking to hire an experienced Product Specialist/Product Owner, a Lending domain expert and proxy business authority for a team; this is for a 5-6 month contract assignment, to start ASAP and Inside IR35. Hybrid 2 - 3 days a week, central London.
The ideal candidate is always looking for ways to improve a product or service to make it better, faster, and more user-friendly. You are responsible for producing technology solutions from concept to delivery that satisfy customer needs in alignment with our overall strategy.
Our client is seeking to modernise its lending journeys with an AI-assisted platform. This role requires an individual who speaks the language of our client's lending business and credit teams, is able to challenge and completes what the team has learned from documents, and ensures is outcome focused and is something that would be accepted and used
Skills required:-
- Experience on digital change programmes as a business analyst, product owner, product strategist or subject matter expert
- Banking or specialist lending industry domain experience with knowledge of governance and a background in commercial lending experience ie development finance or commercial real estate lending
- Writing requirements and acceptance criteria that engineers can build from
- Comfortable with data and systems used in UK lending at business level
- Strong communication and facilitation skills with senior stakeholders
- Desirable is experience with Optalitix Originate, Salesforce or similar lending origination and pricing tools; AI knowledge and/or curiosity to learn
About the Role:-
- Be the day-to-day domain authority for the team on commercial and development finance lending
- Run and co-lead the discovery workshops with SMEs
- Review and correct the intents and acceptance criteria written by the team, and validate business rules, calculations, decision tables and exception paths
- Review the To-Be flowcharts, templates and policies, and flag inconsistencies, gaps and regulatory points early
- Work side by side with the team's engineers and analysts
- Prepare and walk SMEs through the workflow sign-off packs, and help accept finished work at the weekly demos
- Define test scenarios, example cases and success measures
- Act as a trusted link between the business teams and the delivery team, and elevate risks and decisions
