Are you passionate about making a difference in healthcare through technology? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Azure Architect to join our team, supporting the UK\’s NHS National Breast Screening Services (NBSS).
Role Overview
As a senior Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of complex Azure-based solutions for the NBSS. You will build relationships with stakeholders, define architectural standards, and develop scalable, secure cloud architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of enterprise-scale solutions on Microsoft Azure, focusing on scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Set and enforce architectural standards and best practices aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct reviews and guide development teams on Azure service implementations.
- Design resilient architectures for critical applications using Azure services like Azure VMs, DevOps, App Service, and Functions.
- Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code using ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps pipelines.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing solutions on Azure.
- Deep understanding of Azure compute, networking, storage, security, and governance.
- Knowledge of cloud architectures including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Experience with microservices and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Azure security, identity management, GDPR, and SOC 2 compliance.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as ARM, Terraform, or Azure DevOps.
- Relevant certifications like Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer are highly desirable.
Additional Notes
Successful applicants will need to pass SC security clearance and have resided in the UK for at least 5 years.
