We are recruiting a HCT Technical Support Engineer to join our team!
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to our customers, ensuring optimal performance and satisfaction with our products.

Responsibilities
- Carry out installations, testing, troubleshooting and calibrations of Machine Control systems, such as Trimble, Leica, Topcon.
- Installation/ maintenance of Tilt Rotators including Engcon, Steelwrist & Rototilt.
- Safety solution installation/ maintenance such as Safety Shield & Xwatch.
- Telematics installation/ maintenance of CT Fleetlink.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to resolve equipment-related problems effectively.
- Provide training to end-users, equipping them with the expertise to utilise Machine Control systems effectively.
- Provide TSSE with training to HCMUK staff as required.
- Liaising with HCT Service Controller, HCT Operations Manager and Senior HCT Technical Support Engineer throughout the day provide updates on repair progress and equipment status.
- Foster open communication and collaboration within the team and across departments to achieve common goals.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- 3+ years’ experience in construction plant maintenance.
- Good understanding of hydraulics systems.
- Experience in Civil Engineering Surveying or similar.
- Ability to work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve issues.
- Experience in welding and fabrication.
- Willing to travel nationally, specifically to our HQ in Hebburn (Newcastle) and some overseas travel.
- Preferred
- Knowledge of Trimble, Leica and Topcon machine control workflows.
