As a Test Engineer Graduate, you’ll join a dynamic and supportive team of engineers passionate about delivering innovative solutions to our customers. You’ll be given structured development opportunities and rotate through different departments within the business, gaining a wide variety of skills under the guidance of experienced engineers. This opportunity will be a September 2026 start.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Provide technical advice to customers on how to use our products and equipment effectively and efficiently.
- Test our products and equipment, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Troubleshoot and solve complex problems during implementation or operation.
- Support the commissioning and installation of our products.
- Research and recommend product upgrades to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, understanding their needs and securing future business.
- Collaborate with the Power Grids Grid Automation Engineering Department to assist in the installation, commissioning, and fault resolution of SCADA systems, communication networks, and protection systems.
Background:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- Familiarity with IEC 61850, SCADA systems, or protection relays is advantageous.
- Strong interest in sustainable energy and digital technologies.
- Basic understanding of test equipment such as Omicron, Megger, or Sverker.
- Exposure to automation tools or scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
- Awareness of testing methodologies and quality assurance principles.
