**What you’ll be doing**
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an ambitious, creative and talented university student seeking a one-year paid placement in Digital Marketing. The ideal candidate would be an undergraduate currently studying a marketing or business related degree.
**Main Tasks and Responsibilities:**
- Join a fast-moving and hardworking team, developing and delivering communications on a pan-European level.
- Support the needs of local European offices.
- Work on digital communications, maintaining and developing corporate websites and intranet.
- Review social media content and handle external enquiries.
- Monitor and analyse website performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product information and web links are accurate and up-to-date.
- Manage online content with external social media and translation agencies.
- Use online tools such as website analytics and social media scheduling tools.
- Handle online enquiries from European customers.
- Design and develop new content to keep websites looking fresh and engaging.
**What you bring to the team**
We’re looking for a candidate who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision. This is a hybrid role; you will mostly be working remotely with one day a week at our EMEA headquarters in Datchet and occasional meetings in London.
**The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and background:**
- Studying for a marketing/business related degree.
- Keen interest in branding, digital marketing, and social media trends.
- Motivated team player with good organisational and communication skills.
- Proactive and confident in collaborating with internal and external teams.
- Proficient across Microsoft packages; ability with other web tools and Adobe tools is a bonus.
