The demand for energy sector infrastructure is rapidly increasing, we are looking to add a member to our team that is fully focussed on managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final accounts.**Please note we are unable to provide visa support for this position.****How you'll make an impact*** Prepare and analyse costing for tenders and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.* Perform risk, value management, and cost control during the project lifecycle.* Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks and advise on our procurement strategy.* Allocate work to subcontractors, value completed work and manage payments.* Provide advice on contractual claims, analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.* Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use.* Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.**Your background*** Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.* Proven knowledge of construction costs, procurement, and contract law.* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office Suite, quantity surveying software).* Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Membership of a professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is desirable.## Qualified individuals with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access the Hitachi Energy career site as a result of your disability.
