Hitachi Energy is seeking a proactive and detail‐focused Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Business Support Advisor to join our HSE team. This role plays a vital part in supporting HSE operations, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements, and contributing to a strong safety culture across the business. The successful candidate will provide effective administrative, coordination, and reporting support, working closely with stakeholders to help drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.
How you'll make an impact:
- Provide cost effective specialist HSE support and advice to tendering and project delivery teams throughout the project life cycle. Also, maintaining the business's legal register.
- Support the development of processes consistent with legislation, group, and ESI / Construction Industry best practices.
- Provide internal audit services for projects and departmental processes to monitor performance & identify areas for improvement.
- Support HSE performance improvement strategies and campaigns linked to key business objectives & targets for implementation internally & through supply chain partners.
- Produce monthly HSE KPIs and management information for review and action by the Management Team.
- Work proactively with departmental process owners to deliver concise workable processes which are compliant with Legislative & Group requirements, and which seek to deliver industry best practices.
- Provide specialist HSE support through capture team meetings, project meetings, audits, non-project meetings, day to day adhoc requests, etc.
- Through internal source data / records and relevant external source data, identify strategies to continuously improve communication, compliance, and performance in the delivery of key HSE business objectives.
Background:
- HSE professional with Management System and Tender support experience.
- Qualified to NEBOSH Construction level in HSE Management.
- Conversant with relevant ISO standards.
- Working to be a member of a relevant professional body.
- Computer literate & proficient IT skills.
