As the UK Account Manager, you will shape our presence across UK markets, build strategic partnerships, unlock new opportunities, and drive measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the account lead for the UK region, driving growth and expanding Hitachi Energy’s footprint.
  • Build and sustain long‑standing strategic partnerships with key clients and their ecosystem, serving as the principal point of contact.
  • Devise comprehensive account strategies, sales plans, and player maps, and conduct periodic account evaluations.
  • Gain deep understanding of clients’ strategic direction, stakeholders, and operational workflows.
  • Identify and develop early‑stage sales opportunities in collaboration with cross‑functional sales teams, focusing on innovative and market‑leading solutions.
  • Lead Capture Teams and Must‑Win initiatives, managing sales pipelines using local and global sales methodologies.
  • Support the Market Insights and Market Outlook (MIMO) process, including forecasting and long‑term demand planning.
  • Uphold Hitachi Energy’s commitment to safety and integrity, preparing for frequent travel within the UK.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technical, or a related field.
  • Relevant and demonstrable experience in Sales, Marketing, Product Management, or Engineering.
  • Project Management experience is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships and build professional networks.
  • Strong knowledge of the data centre market and experience with data centre customers.
  • Strong technical acumen to build customer confidence and support solution development.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Exceptional communication skills, influencing and guiding internal strategy across product lines during proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Commitment to quality and a results‑driven mindset.
  • Team‑oriented with leadership capabilities, strong prioritization skills, and flexibility for domestic travel (~35%).
