The Senior Project Manager plays a key part in leading and executing major transformer projects ranging from tendering through to final closure of projects.
Location: Stone with travel to UK sites. Please note we are unable to provide visa support for this position.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Support the Tendering Engineers and give assistance in the order pursuit process (helping to develop capture and execute strategy) - achieve clarity of expectation throughout the demand and supply chain.
- Deliver safe, on-time and to-budget delivery of the project, keeping all stakeholders positively engaged and updated on project performance.
- Effectively manage changes in the scope (and the associated commercial aspects) driven by client, internally or the supply chain to maximise HITACHI ENERGY’s contractual position.
- Represent HITACHI ENERGY in all key project delivery meetings i.e. the principle point of contact with the client and all stakeholders for the project.
- Recognise customer requirements and manage their expectations at all times to ensure customer satisfaction at point of delivery/enquiry, to ensure full exposure of HITACHI ENERGY’s product portfolio.
- Working with SHEQ support, lead the drive through our supply chain to fully embrace HITACHI ENERGY’s SHEQ initiatives in particular hazard identification and removal and appropriate behaviours.
Your background:
- Proven experience in a related position within the energy transition industry and transformer knowledge is essential.
- Proven industry experience, working on projects related to transformers and/or substations is essential.
- Member of working towards professional membership of an appropriate body e.g. PMI, APM, IET.
- A Specialist Professional (P4) is a recognized subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
- Has proven knowledge of project management methodologies such as the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and standards set through the Project Management Institute (PMI) and PRINCE2 (or equivalents).
