Join our Grid Automation Team as a Graduate Service Engineer and help advance power grid technology and make a difference in the world of power grids. This exciting opportunity will be based in Stone, Staffordshire, and will require you to be in the office 3 days a week. You will be part of a dynamic and supportive engineering team dedicated to providing innovative solutions to our customers. This opportunity requires a proactive attitude and a willingness to engage with service repair, commissioning, and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer technical advice to customers on the effective and efficient use of our products and equipment.
  • Commission, install, and test our products and equipment to ensure they adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Address and resolve complex issues that may emerge during the implementation or operation of our products and equipment.
  • Investigate and suggest new product equipment upgrades to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Build and sustain strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and expectations, thereby securing future business opportunities.
  • Work in conjunction with the Power Grids Grid Automation Engineering Department to support the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems, communication networks, and protection systems.

Background / Qualifications:

The degrees we are considering are in the fields of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Engineering, Construction, and Software Engineering. We are looking for someone with a positive approach to engineering, strong communication skills, and the ability to talk to all levels within the business. Eager to learn and self-develop through self-teaching and inquisitive engagement. We offer an on-site “Buddy” system ensuring continuous learning and development.

Travel & Location:

Occasional nationwide travel across the UK. The possibility of offshore training gives the ability to travel to offshore sites.
