Join Hitachi Energy as aCivil Design Leadand become a key player in our Global Projects team. In this role, you’ll lead and coordinate civil design activities across international projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal standards. You’ll work with a diverse, global team—requiring strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting—and contribute to projects that shape the future of energy infrastructure. How You Can Make an Impact
- Coordinate and oversee all civil design aspects of assigned projects.
- Ensure compliance with client technical specifications and Hitachi Energy standards.
- Manage the technical procurement process for external civil design services.
- Monitor and control civil design deliverables to meet budget, scope, and schedule.
- Review and validate civil design drawings and documentation.
- Share engineering best practices across projects and disciplines.
- Develop work plans and cost estimates, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Support contract managers in handling scope changes, claims, and risk assessments.
Your leadership will directly influence the success of complex, large-scale industrial projects, ensuring safety, quality, and innovation at every step.
Your Background
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably on large industrial projects involving full building structures.
- Experience in both EP and EPC project environments is a plus.
- Prior hands‑on experience as a Civil Designer is advantageous.
- Familiarity with procurement processes for civil design and construction.
- Proven ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines.
- A flexible, open‑minded approach and strong interpersonal skills.
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
