We’re looking for an Intern who wants to learn, contribute, and make a genuine impact while building skills that will set them up for their future career. This internship is a hands‑on opportunity where you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, get exposure to meaningful projects, and see how your work makes a difference from day one.

This exciting opportunity within communications will be for 8 weeks, starting on the 29th June 2026 - 21st August 2026, and will be based in Birmingham.

How you’ll make an impact
  • To support the creation and project management of a UK campaign showcasing our projects and people, working to deliver the campaign deadlines.
  • To produce assets and compelling narrative, including digital (videos/images), which highlight who we are and what we do at Hitachi Energy in the UK.
  • To work across the organisation with UK ambassadors and project leads to ensure they are actively working to support the campaign in their Business Units.
  • Communicate effectively across multiple areas.
Background & qualifications
  • We welcome applications from students studying any subject who have a strong interest in communications and storytelling. You don’t need a specific degree — we’re looking for curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to write clear, engaging content for emails, websites, newsletters, and social media.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; awareness of tools like Canva or Adobe is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Brings fresh ideas and a willingness to experiment.
