Overview
Historic Royal Palaces is a well-established charity looking after six of the most wonderful Palaces in the world, putting the visitor at the heart of everything we do. The Tower of London is staffed by a team of people passionate about telling its story and keeping its history alive. Our ticket and retail sales are key to funding our work to preserve the sites in our care, and continuing to provide our visitors with truly unforgettable experiences.
We have several opportunities available to join our Welcome and Sales teams, with a mix of full-time and part-time opportunities, both temporary and permanent. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our dynamic Tower Hosts teams. These roles are ideally suited to those with a background in customer service and a passion for historic sites.
Responsibilities
- Sell tickets to visitors and scan them through the barrier, ensuring a warm and friendly welcome.
- Work in one of our six retail stores providing outstanding service to drive sales and respond flexibly to customer needs.
- Support colleague teams by contributing to a busy and fast-paced working environment.
- Other responsibilities include:
- Selling guidebooks
- Obtaining/upselling membership
- Promoting Gift Aid
A successful candidate will need to be a team player, relish the challenge of a busy and fast-paced working environment, and enjoy exploring new and creative ways of working that add real value to our customers’ experiences. You should be friendly, professional, and able to communicate effectively with all different kinds of people. Enthusiastic and motivated, you will have a passion for delivering outstanding service to customers.
