Location: Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace & Kensington Palace

We are seeking to employ additional Stage Managers (casual) to work across our sites, primarily to ensure the smooth running of performances and rehearsals of our live programmes (shows and events), in conjunction with all relevant departments.

Stage Managers will host, enable and support the work of a range of creatives, artists, performers, and technical collaborators (‘the Company’). This is an instrumental role in supporting the Live Programmes and Interpretation and Design Teams to realise the artistic concept of live productions and events to the standards set out by Historic Royal Palaces.

Stage Managers will act as the lead contact on the day for the cast and HRP Operations Teams and support with the smooth running of performances, including ensuring the cast are on time and props are set and maintained. They will operate effectively as a team member by ensuring that all work is carried out to the standards of quality, efficiency and safety laid down by HRP.

You will be dynamic, highly organised and have experience of stage management/stage technical management in theatres, festivals or other large-scale events, and be used to working with a range of creative collaborators and performers. You will have experience of working within production teams and have knowledge of best practice in production process and theatre making.

You will have an ability to think on your feet and propose workable solutions when unforeseen situations arise. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must along with the ability to project confidence and exercise tact in relationships with creative teams and artists.

Salary: £166.48 per day (£39,610 basic FTE)
