Seasonal Palace Host (Sales) at Hampton Court Palace is responsible for ensuring every visitor has an exceptional experience through excellent customer service while generating income necessary to maintain and keep the site open for all visitors.
Salary: £25,928 per annum pro‑rated (£13.85 per hour). The role covers unbroken seasonal contracts from 16 March to 1 November 2026, 16 March to 22 February, and 1 June to 30 September 2026. London Living Wage increase to be honoured from 1 April 2026. Closing date: Sunday 25th January 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Ticket sales and queries
- Membership sales, upgrade and queries
- Retail sales in the Undercroft Shop and Palace Shop
- Maintaining shop spaces – cleaning, tidying, refilling, stocktakes
- Guidebook sales at the external mobile stand
- Manning the Magic Garden entrance and exit, with sales during peak times
- Assisting with the handout, collection, cleaning and resetting of Digital Visitor Guides (DVGs)
Qualifications:
- Minimum fitness level required to perform duties at various posts across Hampton Court Palace, including lifting items up to 15 kg.
- Experience in retail or visitor attraction customer service preferred.
