Five day contracts will be 34.75 hours per week over 5 days, of which 2 days 09:30-19:45 and 2 days 09.30 -16.45 with a lunch break, and 1 evening 16:00-19.45. Part-time will be a mix of both day and evening shifts.
Shifts will include evening, weekend and bank holidays on a rota basis, excluding the 24th, 25th and 26th December as the palace is closed for Christmas.

You will be joining our friendly and experienced team in supporting us during our exciting winter period. The Winter Palace is our new immersive Christmas offer where visitors will wander through the palace’s spectacular rooms to discover breathtaking installations, meet friendly puppets and gentle mythical creatures as the story is woven through live performance and music.
You will be working in a team across the site in a varied role, ranging from our beautiful historic rooms to checking tickets at our entrances, ensuring everyone receives exceptional service. You will also be looking after the safety and security of the site, including objects and people, alongside other duties as reasonably required.
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, security, and working as part of a team. You will have a suitable level of fitness in order to carry out the fundamental requirements of the job profile, which will involve working both indoors and outdoors.
An interest and knowledge in history are advantageous but not necessary.
Contract Dates: 2nd of December 2026 – 3rd of January 2027
Full training will be provided which must be attended in full on these dates: 2nd – 6th December 2026.
