As part of our strategic commitment to becoming a charity for everyone, we aim to reach every school in the UK. We are seeking a dedicated and professional Learning Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality learning experiences for schools and home educators across our sites, online, and offsite.
The Role
As a Learning Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of our Schools & Communities team, supporting our onsite program and online sessions. You’ll be the first point of contact for teachers and home educators, providing friendly, informed support and helping them plan unforgettable learning experiences.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Responding to enquiries and managing bookings
- Welcoming education groups
- Supporting events during school holidays and occasional weekends
- Collaborating with colleagues across sites including the Tower of London, Kensington Palace and Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.
You’ll work closely with the Deputy Operations Manager, Learning Operations Coordinator and three other Learning Assistants, forming a supportive and enthusiastic team.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking candidates who possess:
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong commitment to delivering excellent service. Preferably in a relevant industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Some experience in a similar booking or ticketing role.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage busy email accounts and administrative tasks
- Confidence in communicating with teachers via email, telephone, and in person
- The ability to respond flexibly to operational challenges and adapt to changing circumstances
- An understanding of schools/teacher needs when planning visits is desirable
- An interest in working with schools and young people
Experience with GDPR-compliant databases is advantageous, as the role involves use of our school booking system (Kinetics).
This position involves working with young people and is therefore subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
