Historic Royal Palaces is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle & Gardens.

- Days/Hours of work: Full time: 36 hours per week (working five days out of seven, which will include working some evenings, weekends, and bank holidays)
About the role and about you:
We are looking for a dedicated Events Planner to join a busy team working to maximise the commercial potential of Kensington Palace. We are seeking a like-minded individual with passion and creativity for events in these unique venues. Focusing on sales, organisational detail, financial documents (or anything in between), your contact will always have accurate information and ultimate confidence in your ability.
You must be a self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running. Possessing the ability to work on your own initiative, you must be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to engage personably with all stakeholders. Someone who can work well in a team environment, you’ll also have excellent IT, communication, and interpersonal skills.
You will also have proven experience of selling a venue and planning and running events on an operational level, with a minimum of 1 year experience in an equivalent role. In-depth knowledge of the industry is essential and an interest in British history is favourable. Microsoft and database management skills will be required, along with experience of working with approved suppliers and using financial and diary systems such as Kinetix and E-fin.
Your attendance at events will be required as you will be responsible for ensuring all goes to plan and that all the client’s requirements are met. This will involve evenings and weekends, bank holidays, along with early mornings and late evenings as and when the events schedule requires it.
