Overview

Events Planner – Hampton Court Palace (Maternity Cover approx. 16 months). Home Palace: Hampton Court Palace. Status: Fixed Term Contract. Salary: Β£37,498 per annum. Days/Hours of work: Full time (36 hours per week including evenings and weekends as and when the events schedule requires it).

Responsibilities

  • Guide your portfolio of internal and external clients and suppliers through every aspect of the event planning process.
  • Focus on sales, organisational detail, financial documents (or anything in between) with accurate information and confidence in your ability.
  • Work as a self-starter and quick learner, able to hit the ground running and operate on your own initiative.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, engaging personably with all stakeholders, and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent IT, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Show proven experience of selling a venue and running events on an operational level; in-depth knowledge of the industry is essential.
  • Any insight into British history will be advantageous.
  • Recognise the importance of good teamwork and collaborative working with others.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required by the events schedule.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Proven experience in selling venues and running events operationally.
  • Strong industry knowledge and a background in events management or related fields.
  • Microsoft and database management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated and proactive.
