We want everyone to find themselves in the spaces and stories we share. We currently have a new exciting opportunity to join our Gardens & Estates Team.
About The Role
This role is responsible for developing and managing a range of projects and initiatives to support the delivery of the Sustainability Action Plan within our outside spaces and managing them to benefit biodiversity, nature and public access in line with our strategy. Working with a wide range of teams you will bring enthusiasm, knowledge and flair in championing sustainable and nature positive management seeking out best practice and partnership opportunities.
Your role will be to develop an action plan to support the strategy, to support managers to optimise their outdoor spaces for sustainability and biodiversity and leading a programme of ecological monitoring and surveys, as well as management proposals.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in ecology, environmental science, sustainability or a related field, or significant equivalent relevant experience. Proven experience in sustainability, ecology, or land based conservation is essential.
You should also have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, strong project management skills and teamwork abilities. Your passion for sustainability and heritage conservation should be evident and you should possess good general IT skills and use of MS tools such as PowerPoint and Word.
We have adopted a hybrid model of part working from home and part working from site, we are open to discussing what best works for individuals and their work life balance whilst also delivering the business requirements.
Location: Working across all palaces including Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland, but based at Hampton Court Palace or Tower of London
Salary: £46,981 per annum pro rata
