We are recruiting for Apprentice Security Officer at Hampton Court Palace, giving you a fantastic opportunity to grow your security skills whilst working at the beautiful Hampton Court Palace. Being an apprentice is an exciting challenge – often demanding but hugely rewarding. You will be training within a heritage environment, working alongside and learning from our experienced and dedicated team, developing skills and knowledge.
The role will involve assisting the Security Team Leader in:
- Monitoring CCTV and alarms
- Proactive patrolling throughout the buildings & grounds
- Responding to fire alarm activations
This role will require you to communicate effectively with your colleagues and deliver excellent customer service.
Role Responsibilities
- Control Room operations
- Controlling pedestrian and vehicle access to the Palace
- Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems
- Responding to any escalated security incidents
- Proactive patrolling throughout the buildings and grounds
- Responding to fire alarm activations
- Providing a safe and secure environment for visitors and staff
- Ensure own understanding of all security procedures, particularly emergency procedures, by participating in a structured programme of learning and refresher tests.
Essential Criteria
- You must be 18 years old or over
- You must not have completed a degree or equivalent level qualification in the UK or elsewhere.
- You must be able to commute to your assigned place of work
- Must be able to commit to the full duration of the apprenticeship
